Whether it’s after installing windows or seamless gutters on a home, my customers are always commenting on how I am a perfectionist. I just answer that a job worth doing is a job worth doing right–always. I treat every job as if I am working on my own house, and I like my house to look great.
Why Seamless Gutters?
I’ve recently been working on growing the seamless gutters side of our company. If you follow this blog, you will remember a recent post discussing how vital a well installed gutter system is to the ability of a roof system to keep your home dry by moving the water away from the foundation of your home.
Well over the years as we installed new windows on homes across the Shenandoah Valley, I began to notice how often gutters are poorly installed. My team and I could not believe how gutter installers failed to tend to important details like the following:
- Ensuring slopes in the gutters toward downspouts to prevent water pooling
- Sealing the back side of the gutter to the fascia with high quality silicone sealant
- Working with the house materials to make sure the gutter is flush throughout each run
- Using high quality zip screws to attach the gutter
This prompted me to really build the gutter installation side of the business. We now have a fully equipped gutter installation operation which gets the job done right.
Windows and gutters are not all we do. My friends say we need to add on to the business name to better reflect all that we do. Maybe that’s a good idea, but even though my team and I are highly skilled in many areas, I got my start in windows, so I’m keeping the name Energy Windows. That being said, I and my team are still perfectionists in all that we do. We find ourselves being called upon to do all sorts of home improvement jobs. Whether it’s roofing, siding, carpentry, etc. we do quality work all the time and love making customers happy. Give us a call if you have a project you want done right
